Manages membership operations, including updating and distributing application materials, maintaining an accurate member database, and overseeing the online member directory. Duties include recruiting and welcoming new members, supporting student membership transitions, and promoting engagement through outreach to schools, employers, and facilities. The committee also tracks memberships and prepares annual reports.

Informs members of current and pending local, state, and national legislation pertinent to OT. Responsibilities include organizing promotional activities such as OT Month, conferences, and community events; managing communications via email and social media; and supporting initiatives like booth planning, clothing sales, and advocacy campaigns. Additionally, the role involves engaging with schools and professional programs to recruit future practitioners, educate communities, and strengthen collaboration within healthcare.
*Co-Chair and Committee Members Needed
Oversees the development, review, and maintenance of the Association’s governing documents. They ensure consistency across bylaws, policies and procedures. It provides guidance on proposed revisions, collaborates with members and leadership to evaluate changes, and ensures all updates align with organizational standards before advancing them for approval. Additionally, the committee works closely with leadership and other committees to maintain continuity, address conflicts, and support coordinated governance across the Association.
Facilitates the professional development of the members by organizing continuing education opportunities. Responsibilities include identifying relevant topics, securing speakers, and coordinating event logistics. Closer to the event tasks expand to budgeting, advertising, agenda development, vendor and sponsor coordination, and registration setup. During the event, duties focus on registration, facilitation, and evaluation collection, while post-event responsibilities include distributing certificates, summarizing outcomes, and maintaining records to inform future planning.
Disseminates pertinent information to members of the Association through email and social media platforms. Duties include gathering and publishing relevant content, managing the website and social media platforms, maintaining the events calendar, and ensuring timely dissemination of news and announcements.
